Tiger at Firestone on Thursday

After an injury-related hiatus from the game, Tiger Woods made his highly anticipated return to competitive golf today, shooting an opening round 68. This score puts Woods 6 shots off the lead, possessed by Aussie Adam Scott, who made quite the charge on the back 9 to earn his spot atop the leader board. Golf’s latest phenomenon, Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler, and Sergio Garcia are some of the players also sitting at -2, one shot behind Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood. Though Tiger had some promising moments, fore mostly  back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11, he still does not look like he has everything totally together. Time will only tell at this point, personally I am pulling for him to mount a massive comeback.
