In the first official NFL game of the 2011-2012, post-lockout season, the dream team of the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Baltimore Ravens 16-3 at Lincoln Financial Field Thursday evening.

Despite the fact that this game is in fact meaningless, being the preseason and all, all-pro QB Mike Vick has a feeling that this particular team, “have something special.” Vick, who threw for 74 yards and the games only touchdown to TE Brent Celek has a good feeling about this team.

The Baltimore Ravens on the other hand seem to be the polar opposite of this Philadelphia team who has spent the entirety of the very minimal free agent period acquiring pretty much anybody they could, Baltimore has gone about it with a little less tenacity.

This offseason for the Ravens could more so be connotated by the players they have lost rather than those they have gained. With veteran weapons Todd Heap, Derrick Mason, and Willis McGahee all gone, fans are wondering when the ‘big name’ move is going to be made.
