Following in the immeasurable footsteps left by Watch The Throne, Wayne has decided to go with a staggered release for arguably the most highly anticipated Hip-Hop LP in years.

Weezy, who is performing at MTVs annual Video Music Awards on the 28th, the night prior to his albums physical release, has decided that his VMA show is going to be so live, that according to Billboard.biz, people will want to go cop the record the second the maestro departs the stage. Therefore, at exactly 12 midnight, the digital copy of C4 will be dropped.

Never one to be short on confidence or swag, the YMCMB general claims,

“I am extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea. I hope that I can open the door for others,” he said in a statement Monday.”

Considering Jay and Kanye’s album shattered previous iTunes digital sales records with their drop, you would be hard pressed to believe Wayne is not capable of accomplishing a similar feat. I would not be surprised to see this albums sales skyrocket astronomically in the first week.
