Arsenal fans worldwide saw their team on the wrong side of an 8-2 romping at the hands of reigning champions Manchester United. Under-fire manager Arsene Wenger, and his substantially depleted starting XI, made up of a makeshift defensive unit and lacking in midfield creativity, were embarrassed at Old Trafford this past Sunday.
As you might imagine, the devoted, trophy-deprived supporters of one of England’s most prolific and historic football clubs are far from happy. So, in order to make an attempt to please them, the front office has offered the cost of a match ticket to nay future away Premier League match.
Personally, I do not see this as much compensation for the disgraceful, shambolic performance displayed by the Gunners this weekend. If you really want to please the fans in North London, go out and sign a few proven, youthful British-born players, the maybe you will see the support. But if Wenger does not start spending the Cesć and Nasri money they just raked in, they will be left high and dry in all competitions yet again, and their fans will remain unhappy.
